To celebrate our 60th Anniversary, Tulsa Ballet will present
a free and open to the public performance on the Guthrie Green
TULSA, Okla. – September 2016 – Tulsa Ballet is proud to present its first public performance at the Guthrie Green to celebrate its 60th Anniversary Season. The free event will take place during the popular First Friday Art Crawl on October 7th at 8pm downtown in the Brady Arts District. This historic program will feature performances by both TBII and the main company. The beloved Guthrie Green stage will be installed with special Marley dance flooring and custom lighting in order to bring the Tulsa Ballet experience outdoors for all ages to enjoy. In the nearby Woody Guthrie Center lobby, be sure to check out a special free Tulsa Ballet historical pop-up exhibit, which spans the entire 60 years of the company.
This is also the perfect opportunity to meet with Tulsa Ballet Center for Dance Education faculty, who will be on site to answer any questions you may have about classes. Special 60th Anniversary merchandise will also be for sale, including limited-edition t-shirts as well as a ticket raffle giveaway. After the performances, there will be an opportunity to meet some of the dancers who will inspire us all season long. It will be a wonderful event for the entire family.
