Campaign will renovate Tulsa Ballet’s historic Brookside home, strengthen dancer recruitment and invest in the company’s artistic future as it celebrates its 70th anniversary in Tulsa.

TULSA, Okla. – For decades, Tulsa Ballet has introduced local audiences to world-class dancers and choreographers while representing Tulsa and Oklahoma on stages around the world. Preserving the Legacy will help ensure the company can continue building upon that international reputation for generations to come. As the company celebrates its 70th anniversary, the organization is inviting the broader community to help secure its next chapter through Preserving the Legacy, a $16 million campaign supporting transformational investments in the company’s facilities, artists and productions.

With over $15 million already pledged (95% of the campaign’s goal), Tulsa Ballet is now launching the campaign’s public phase and asking the community to help raise the remaining $800,000.

“As Tulsa Ballet celebrates its 70th anniversary season, it’s important to remember all the people who contributed to its present success,” Artistic Director Marcello Angelini says. “The best way to rejoice the past is to ensure the wishes, hopes and expectations of our patrons and community continue to be a reality into the future. The Preserving the Legacy Integrated Campaign is laying the foundations for many more decades of artistic success, and financial stability, for Tulsa Ballet! A central component of the campaign is the renovation of Tulsa Ballet’s Brookside headquarters. The project will update aging facilities, improve dressing rooms and training areas, expand educational programming space and create a new studio dedicated to classes offered through the Tulsa Ballet Center for Dance Education.”

Beyond the Brookside renovation, an essential improvement to recruit and retain dancers from around the world, Preserving the Legacy will invest in the people and productions that audiences see on stage.

Preserving the Legacy is an investment in every part of our mission—from modernizing our historic Brookside home and providing world-class resources for our dancers to ensuring we can continue creating extraordinary productions and educational opportunities for generations to come,” says Executive Director Stacey Jenkins. “The generosity we’ve already received has been remarkable, and we’re excited to invite the entire community to help us complete this transformational campaign.”

Donors who contribute $25,000 or more will be recognized on a permanent donor wall at Tulsa Ballet’s Brookside home. Additional named giving opportunities begin at $100,000.

“I am incredibly grateful for the generosity that has brought the Preserving the Legacy Campaign to this milestone,” says Campaign Chair Crystal Stovall. “As we launch the public phase, I invite everyone to be part of Tulsa Ballet’s future. Every gift, no matter the size, helps inspire, educate, and enrich lives through the power of dance. Together, we are preserving a legacy that will benefit our community for generations to come.”
