Three innovative choreographers….Tulsa Ballet Two….One unforgettable experience
Tulsa Ballet II, the second company of Tulsa Ballet, is comprised of the most promising young dancers from around the globe performing bold, innovative works from some of the world’s most in-demand choreographers:
This Must be the End | World premiere by Daniel van de Laar
A Tulsa Ballet Demi-Soloist who has performed with The Royal Conservatory in The Hague. While dancing with Nederlands Dans Theater 2 and Scapino Ballet in Rotterdam, Daniel had the opportunity to work with well-known choreographers such as Jiří Kylián, Paul Lightfoot & Sol León, Crystal Pite, Marco Goecke, and others.
Melodia | Ma Cong
Tulsa Ballet’s Resident Choreographer Ma Cong brings back this popular 2007 work. Inspired by the music of best-selling singer Lhasa de Sela, Melodia (which is ‘melody’ in Spanish) captures the rhythms of South America and the passion of the voice.
Watercolor | Jimmy Orrante
Former principal dancer with BalletMet for 20 years and three-time winner of the Princess Grace Foundation award, Watercolor explores the theme of water, examining its movement, fluidity, and stillness.
