Sophie Poulain, from NS, Canada, began her pre-professional ballet training at Canada’s National Ballet School at age 13. At 15, she continued her training at The Art of Classical Ballet under the direction of Magaly Suarez. In 2019 she was accepted to The Dutch National Ballet Academy, where she spent the following two years. While in Amsterdam, Sophie danced with the Dutch National Ballet in Wayne Eagling and Toer van Schayk’s The Nutcracker, and Rachel Beaujean and Ricardo Bustamante’s Giselle. Upon graduation, Sophie began her professional career with Alberta Ballet. For the 2022/23 season, Sophie chose to return to Florida to work with her beloved coach, Magaly Suarez.  She is thrilled to be joining Tulsa Ballet II this season.
