Effervescent audience favorites combined with a brand new work commissioned for the company make for an unforgettable evening of contemporary dance handpicked by Artistic Director Marcello Angelini.
Glass Figures | Ma Cong
Created for the company in 2018, this purely abstract work is a tribute to the joy of dance. Loved by audiences in both Tulsa and New York City, critics said moments of the work were “so startling and poignant that they rearrange your heartbeat.” (Tulsa World)
O Balcão de Amour | Itzik Galili
A quirky tribute to the culture of Cuba that will have you tapping your toes and laughing out loud. With energetic music and characters that perfectly embody comedy and sexiness, you’ll love the lighthearted absurdity enfolding on stage.
World Premiere | Penny Saunders
After the success of the touching piece she recently created for TBII, Ms. Saunders returns to Tulsa to create a new work for company. A 2016 recipient of the Princess Grace Award and Resident Choreographer for the Grand Rapids Ballet, The New York Times has distinguished her as having “a remarkably fresh mind, with talents for suspense and surrealism.”
