Polina Chepyk was born in Kyiv, Ukraine into a ballet family. Her parents Anna Dorosh and Maxym Chepyk are well known in ballet. With their help, Polina professionally developed and built her technique. She started her training at the Kyiv State Ballet College where after the 7 years of education she graduated with a gold medal as one of the best students in the class. Since the war in Ukraine, and with help of Youth America Grand Prix, Polina was able to continue dancing at the Dutch National Ballet Academy. At the graduation performance, she performed as one of the soloists in Paquita by Rachel Beaujean. YAGP gave opportunity for Polina to be a Scholar in Residence at Vail dance festival 2022 where she performed Tiler Peck’s choreography.
