Signature Series

To close the season, Tulsa Ballet will start a brand-new tradition! Each year Tulsa Ballet commissions a new work created especially for our annual fundraising gala, Icons and Idols; dances that up to now have been exclusively performed at the gala. Starting in May of 2024, we will share those special dances with you!  We will start with Roman Holiday, a work that superstar Italian choreographer Luciano Cannito created for Icons and Idols 2020. The second piece of the program will be Dancing In The Streets by Emmy Award winning Broadway choreographer Joshua Bergasse, who is also known for his choreography of the TV show Smash. Rounding up the celebratory nature of the program will be the return of Celestial Bodies by Andrew McNicol, commissioned and created to celebrate Tulsa Ballet’s 65th anniversary.
