Position: Outreach and Community Relations Manager
Location: Brookside Broken Arrow
Reports to: General Manager

Primary Purpose of Job: To increase awareness and grow enrollment at our Center for Dance Education through marketing initiatives, school programs, and community partnerships, with immediate focus in the Broken Arrow community. This position is responsible for the management of outreach programming at both campuses and providing funding and impact reports, recruitment of students through the implementation of robust marketing plan, and forming meaningful community partnerships to increase our visibility in the community. 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Support the artistic vision and strategic plan of Tulsa Ballet Theatre, Inc. and the Artistic Director, through the development and growth of TBCDE and the fulfilment of its mission and objectives.
  • Provide support for all efforts necessary to foster the continual growth and development of TBCDE in size, scope and efficacy.
  • Build and manage relationships to ensure support of our outreach efforts and enrollment initiatives. Be an ambassador for Tulsa Ballet in the Tulsa and Broken Arrow community, with immediate focus in Broken Arrow.
  • Build and manage relationships with local public and private schools by providing opportunities for education outreach programs for students and teachers. Become a community partner and a resource for educators with the purpose of introducing children to dance and live performance.
      • Manage all marketing initiatives for the school including:
        • Create and oversee social media plan
        • Manage recruitment plan including paid advertising, direct mail, eblasts, media opportunities, special events, and open houses 
        • Provide copy and photos or video footage for marketing materials and video needs
        • Manage press and media relations, including press releases, pitching story ideas and interview opportunities, etc.
        • Assist in the planning and implementation of enrollment and outreach goals and objectives for CDE in cooperation with the Artistic Director, Managing Director, General Manager and Director of Education.
        • Communicate effectively with parents and students and provide excellent customer service. Provide building tours to potential students and community groups as needed.
        • In conjunction with other departments, maintain building, scheduling service calls, coordinate cleaning and landscaping needs, audio and visual equipment in Studios and EntraPass keycard system at Hardesty Campus.
        • In conjunction with other departments, maintain inventory and ordering of supplies needed for HCDE.
        • Support Company Performances as required.
        • Other duties as assigned.

Key Relationships outside the Company: Current and potential students and their families, public and private school personnel, and community partners.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

        • Be able to work occasional nights and weekends as required
        • Be able to lift up to 25 pounds and participate in physical activity required for events
        • Have transportation
