Tulsa Ballet presents a truly eclectic  contemporary ballet sampler featuring highly acclaimed works by three of Europe’s most esteemed choreographers. See this incredible program right here in Tulsa before Tulsa Ballet takes it on tour to Italy! Learn more about our fourth international tour.

The program includes:

Classical Symphony is an exuberant celebration of ballet and movement, set to a thrilling score by Prokofiev. In the humorous Petite Mort, dancers partner with stubborn fencing foils and ball gowns that have a life of their own. Rooster, set to music by The Rolling Stones, will have you dancing along in your seat as the Company masters that signature Mick Jagger strut.

Join us for a Pre-performance Discussion

All ticketed patrons are invited to join us for a pre-show talk in the Westby Pavilion on the Promenade Level starting 30 minutes before show time! Friday’s discussion will be hosted by Cora Bos Kroese. Currently Assistant to Choreographer Jiří Kylián, Ms. Bos Kroese was also his longtime muse and inspired many of his ballets. She will discuss the creating of Petite Mort and setting this ballet on the Company. On Saturday, Jerry Wolf, Tulsa Ballet’s Costume Department Director, will discuss the history of the costumes for Rooster and the making of the new costumes for Classical Symphony. Sunday afternoon’s discussion will be led by Artistic Director Marcello Angelini, who will discuss the history and importance of each piece. Discussion speakers and topics are subject to change.
