Romeo & Juliet - April 1-4 - Tulsa PAC

ROMEO & JULIET

APRIL, 1-4, 2027

Choreography: Edwaard Liang

In a city divided by hatred, two young lovers dare to defy their families and follow their hearts. From their first electrifying meeting to their final, fateful kiss, Romeo & Juliet captures the passion, bravery, and heartbreak of love born in the shadow of violence. Set against a backdrop of feuding houses and unstoppable destiny, this timeless tale unfolds with breathtaking beauty, where love blooms bright and fleeting, and every heartbeat races toward tragedy.

Commissioned by Tulsa Ballet in 2012 to star choreographer Edwaard Liang, Dance Magazine celebrated the production by saying that Liang’s “inventive choreography served the story with flair.” Join us for an evening full of romance, live accompaniment from Tulsa Symphony Orchestra, delightful moments of comedy, thrilling sword-fighting and one of literature’s most heart-breaking conclusions.

WHAT IS PREVIEW NIGHT?

Get a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the magic of Tulsa Ballet. Preview Night offers you the chance to enter the PAC theater early and watch as the cast and crew prepare for a performance of The Sleeping Beauty.

Watch the dancers take their warmup class, hear from the artistic and production staff about what goes into putting a ballet onstage, then sit back and enjoy the Company’s final dress rehearsal, presented as a complete production from start-to-finish, as well as observe first-hand how final adjustments are made at the on-site production table. All tickets behind the production table have been discounted to $25 – no code necessary! Want a closer look? We’ve also discounted all available seats in front of the table to $50 each.

Doors for Preview Night will open at 6:15 and the show will begin at 7:00. Between 6:15 and 7:00, the curtain to the stage will remain open as the Tulsa Ballet staff go over various calls and cues. Interviews will be conducted with members of the artistic and production team.
