Colorful, vibrant, romantic, high energy, spontaneous and exhilarating…those are just a few adjectives used to describe this visually stunning piece, based on the novel Don Quixote de la Mancha by Miguel de Cervantes. Follow the adventures of Don Quixote, and his trusted squire Sancho Panza, as they set off in search of Dulcinea, the lady of Don’s dreams. Their story becomes entangled with that of Kitri, an innkeeper’s daughter, who is in love with Basilio, a penniless yet handsome barber. Join us for one of the most popular, rambunctiously witty, technically challenging and exceptionally entertaining works in ballet repertory.
Preview Night
Get a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the magic of Tulsa Ballet. Preview Night offers you the chance to enter the PAC theater early and watch as the cast and crew prepare for a performance of Don Quixote. Watch the dancers take their warmup class, hear from the artistic and production staff about what goes into putting a ballet onstage, then sit back and enjoy the Company’s final dress rehearsal, presented as a complete production from start-to-finish, as well as observe first-hand how final adjustments are made at the on-site production table.
