After years of hardship under her cruel stepmother’s rule, Cinderella’s world transforms when a chance meeting in the forest sparks an unshakable connection with a young man who is more than he seems. With the help of her Fairy Godmother and the enchantment of the seasons, she is whisked from the ashes of servitude to the splendor of the royal ball, where destiny awaits. Filled with humor, elegance, and wonder, Tulsa Ballet’s Cinderella celebrates love’s power to transcend circumstance and make dreams come true. The Ballet Herald celebrated the production, noting, “Audiences will be delighted as the stage turns into a life-sized story book… moments remembered from childhood are brought to life in new and exciting ways.”
Commissioned by Tulsa Ballet in 2023, with choreography by rising star Andrew McNicol, this Cinderella tells this classic love story with stunning new sets and costumes, designed especially for this production by world-renowned designer Jerome Kaplan, to create this timeless tale.

READ THE SYNOPSIS
PROLOGUE
A young Cinderella stands with her father at her mother’s graveside. She feels alone and apprehensive about her future with her new stepmother and stepsisters. A young Prince stands with his mother by his father’s graveside. He feels alone and apprehensive about his future and the responsibilities of leading a kingdom that will soon become his.
WHAT IS PREVIEW NIGHT?
Get a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the magic of Tulsa Ballet. Preview Night offers you the chance to enter the PAC theater early and watch as the cast and crew prepare for a performance of The Sleeping Beauty.
Watch the dancers take their warmup class, hear from the artistic and production staff about what goes into putting a ballet onstage, then sit back and enjoy the Company’s final dress rehearsal, presented as a complete production from start-to-finish, as well as observe first-hand how final adjustments are made at the on-site production table. All tickets behind the production table have been discounted to $25 – no code necessary! Want a closer look? We’ve also discounted all available seats in front of the table to $50 each.
Doors for Preview Night will open at 6:15 and the show will begin at 7:00. Between 6:15 and 7:00, the curtain to the stage will remain open as the Tulsa Ballet staff go over various calls and cues. Interviews will be conducted with members of the artistic and production team.
