Alice in Wonderland

The event of the decade!  For the first time in the 68 year history of the company, Tulsa Ballet will present Alice in Wonderland.  And not “just” any Alice in Wonderland:  a brand-new version of this tale, one that will join the permanent repertory of the company for decades to come! Artistic Director Marcello Angelini has assembled an all-star team to bring this new work to life, one that includes two-time Tony Award winning designer Christopher Oram, also known for his design of the Disney’s Broadway show Frozen. He will work beside British composer Alexandra Harwood, also known for her score for the BBC TV show All Creatures Great and Small and British librettist Nell Denton. The team will be led by superstar choreographer Kenneth Tindall, who will return to Tulsa after the mighty success of his Carmen in October 2022.   From a garden party on a sunny afternoon, to the twisting & turning trails of Wonderland, Alice’s adventure leads her places most people have never imagined! Along her journey, she’ll encounter countless strange creatures and colorful characters, learning about life and maturing all the while, all told through a lively combination of enchanting music played live by Tulsa Symphony Orchestra, extraordinary visuals and spectacular choreography!

Preview Night

Get a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the magic of Tulsa Ballet. Preview Night offers you the chance to enter the PAC theater early and watch as the cast and crew prepare for a performance of Alice in Wonderland.

Watch the dancers take their warmup class, hear from the artistic and production staff about what goes into putting a ballet onstage, then sit back and enjoy the Company’s final dress rehearsal, presented as a complete production from start-to-finish, as well as observe first-hand how final adjustments are made at the on-site production table. All tickets behind the production table have been discounted to $25 – no code necessary! Want a closer look? We’ve also discounted all available seats in front of the table to $50 each.

Doors for Preview Night will open at 6:15 and the show will begin at 7:00. Between 6:15 and 7:00, the curtain to the stage will remain open as the Tulsa Ballet staff go over various calls and cues as Managing Director Scott Black explains the process and interview members of the artistic and production team.
