Tulsa Ballet’s 2021 World Premiere production of The Nutcracker was welcomed by Tulsa families with record-breaking ticket sales because of its exciting new choreography, colorful costumes, larger-than-life moving sets and live accompaniment by the Tulsa Symphony Orchestra! If you didn’t get a chance to see it during its world premiere year or just want to make it your holiday family tradition, join us for this story of a young girl’s magical journey on Christmas Eve, set in 19th century Germany. Exciting choreography by Val Caniparoli and Ma Cong plus breathtaking sets and costumes by designer Tracy Grant Lord leave audiences spellbound. From the epic battle between the Nutcracker Prince’s army of toy soldiers and the Mouse King’s rodent minions, to the enchanting land of the Snow Queen followed by the Sugar Plum Fairy’s Kingdom of Sweets, a cast of close to 100 local children joins the dancers of Tulsa Ballet to create a lifetime of memories for young and old. The Nutcracker is sponsored by The HA and Mary K Chapman Foundations and the Suzanne and Jim Kneale Family Foundation.
