Position: Development Coordinator (Full-Time, Exempt)

Salary Range: $38,000-$40,000 per year

The Development Coordinator oversees Tulsa Ballet’s annual fund individuals. This person will proactively renew and upgrade current donors, as well as cultivate and solicit new donors. Additionally, this individual will manage a comprehensive donor stewardship program and provide reports to key stakeholders.

Responsibilities Include

  • Develop and execute initiatives to proactively renew members of Tulsa Ballet’s development membership programs, including Founders’ Society and Circle of Friends.
  • Develop and execute initiatives to strategically grow individual donors and minimize donor attrition.
  • Facilitate a comprehensive annual fund appeal campaign, including but not limited to letter, email, and phone appeals throughout the fiscal year.
  • Develop and provide recurring and one-time reports to a variety of stakeholders, including organizational leadership, board members, and other volunteers as necessary.
  • Develop and execute initiatives to communicate membership benefits to donors
  • Provide accurate donor listings for publication
  • Liaise with board members to ensure they fulfill their obligations
  • Regularly attend and work Tulsa Ballet events, including (but not limited to) performances and development and fundraising events
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience with computer operating systems and software applications, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Ability to become proficient in new software applications
  • Database management experience
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Proactive and self-starting work ethic
  • Demonstrable track record working under pressure, managing projects, and prioritizing deadlines

Tulsa Ballet utilizes Tessitura and Salesforce CRMs. Knowledge of and experience using these platforms is preferred but not required

Required Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience in nonprofit fundraising, business development, and/or sales.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

  • Be able to work regularly nights and weekends
  • Be able to lift up to 25 pounds and participate in physical activity required for events
  • Have reliable transportation, as errands will occasionally be necessary.
