Development Coordinator

The Development Coordinator will oversee programs for individual donors, including managing a comprehensive donor stewardship program, cultivation plans and donor recognition.

  • Record donor gifts and information and ensure recognition within 36 hours
  • Maintain and manage database with regular mining and updating
  • Provide listings for publications with accuracy
  • Develop reports for tracking donor history, appeal success, membership growth
  • Identify methods of increasing involvement through “moves management”
  • Implement plans for communications with members, including developing the annual report, creating newsletter content, and designing surveys to access member satisfaction.  Coordinate the development of strategic plans for each group
  • Attend and work at all Tulsa Ballet events, including but not limited to Founders Society events, fundraising events, and ballet performances
  • Additional duties as assigned

Development Coordinator Job Specifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least two years’ experience in a not-for-profit environment 

Required Skills:

  • Superior written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Computer experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Database management experience
  • Excellent clerical and organizational skills
  • Friendly personality and positive outlook
  • Proven and demonstrable track record of being able to work under pressure while managing multiple deadlines
  • Knowledge of Tessitura Fundraising Software and basic page layout software is preferred but not required

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

The Membership Coordinator must:

  • Be able to work nights and weekends when required
  • Be able to lift up to 25 pounds and participate in physical activity required for events
  • Have transportation, as some errands will occasionally be necessary
