Admission Requirements and Enrollment Prerequisites

Students train approximately 22 hours per week with a variety of classes including ballet technique, pointe, men’s classes, variations, repertoire, modern technique, contemporary, improv, jazz technique, character dance, Pilates, and conditioning. Students will also receive weekly training in Ballet Pedagogy, along with opportunities to gain student teaching & assisting experience within the school. Classes are held Monday thru Friday from 12:45 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. with additional morning classes on Saturdays. Students in the Day Program will receive additional performance opportunities through community outreach, in addition to participation in the school’s End of Year Performances and Senior Performance Ensemble.

Interested applicants are required to attend Tulsa Ballet’s Summer Intensive and can apply by attending a Summer Intensive audition in-person or by registering for a Summer Intensive video audition and sending their video link and resume to education@tulsaballet.org. Students will receive audition results via email.  Some students may be invited to take class in-person during the school year.

Dancers selected to join the Day Program will receive an acceptance letter clearly stating enrollment deadlines, tuition, fees, and start dates. The program has limited class sizes, so placement in the program past the enrollment deadline is not guaranteed.
