Nao Ota


Born in Aichi, Japan, Nao Ota began her ballet training at Dance Space.  In 2013, she received a scholarship to study short-term with Dominique Khalfouni, in France.  Nao won 1st Prize at the Japan Grand Prix in 2016 and joined Tulsa Ballet II the following year.  She was promoted to Apprentice in 2018 and Corps de Ballet in 2019. Her repertoire includes Swan Lake (Angelini) Spring Fairy in Cinderella (Stevenson), Strictly Gershwin (Deane), Cacti (Ekman), and The Green Table (Jooss). She has also performed in works by Jennifer Archibald, Ma Cong, Young Soon Hue, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, Andrew McNicol, and Val Caniparoli.
