Dance Company. Keith studied Dance at Oral Roberts University and holds a certification in dance from the International Dance Academy Hollywood.
Contemporary dance is total body exploration, revealing all the possibilities of movement the human body has to offer. Head tail, cross-lateral, core distal, and body-half connections will be emphasized. Body positioning, floor-work, inversions, jumps, partner work, body fluidity, dynamic alignment, improvisation and total body connectivity will be explored over the course of three days. Each day will close with a combination that will challenge the dancer artistically, technically and physically.
This workshop is taught by Jennifer Andrasko. Jennifer graduated from Brigham Young University Idaho in 2015 with her Bachelor of Arts in Modern Choreography and Performance. There, she performed with BYU-Idaho’s Collegiate Contemporary Company for 4 years after which she directed the company in 2014. She has also had the privilege to tour with BYU-Idaho’s Dance Alliance Company to the Western United States, Costa Rica and Panama. She continues to put forth an effort to educate herself and stay involved in the dance community.
Students are encouraged to attend all three contemporary dance workshops – Saturday, July 1, 8 and 15, 2017!
