DeLynn Fairless

DeLynnFairless

DeLynn Fairless has been a professional choreographer and instructor for over 20 years. Originally from Shreveport, La., Fairless has classical training in ballet, modern dance, tap and jazz. She received her BFA from the University of Oklahoma, and has performed as a soloist with Oklahoma Festival Ballet and Modern Dance Repertory Theater. Among many greats, she has danced for Martha Graham’s Denise Vale, Alvin Ailey’s Dianne Maroney, and worked with Broadway’s Ken Leigh Rogers as Assistant Choreographer for OU’s collegiate production of A Chorus Line.

Miss Fairless has most recently taught for Tulsa Ballet Center for Dance Education, teaching ballet, modern dance and jazz and visual art.  Miss Fairless has choreographed original works for both the school and for pieces entered into the Youth American Grande Prix. Miss Fairless has also worked at Theatre Arts, Inc., River Cities Dance Company, Cherry Street Dance Studios, Universal Dance Association, and choreographed for Children’s Musical Theatre of Bartlesville’s Beauty and the Beast, Peter Pan and Annie Get Your Gun. Miss Fairless has a passion for more than just the performing arts, having taught for Tulsa Public Schools as a certified visual art teacher for nine years.
