Andrea Bergeman Rak
Andrea Bergeman Rak studied at Seiskaya Ballet Academy in St. James, NY, and the Huntington School of Ballet. In her professional ballet career, she danced with Ballet Memphis, dancing the roles of Kitri in Don Quixote pas de deux, Sugar Plum in The Nutcracker, along with works by George Balanchine, Trey McIntyre, and Lila York; Minnesota Dance Theatre, where she danced principal roles of Sugar Plum and Dew Drop in the Nutcracker and works by Dwight Rhoden and Jose Limon; and additional contract work with Tulsa Ballet and English National Ballet, where she performed in Romeo and Juliet at the Royal Albert Hall. She has been on faculty with Ballet Memphis, Minnesota Dance Theatre, DanceWest Ballet, Los Gatos Ballet, and the Academy of Dance Arts in Warrenville, IL, where she was a part of the private coaching faculty winning the Outstanding Faculty award at YAGP Chicago in 2022. Andrea has coached private students to achieve the top 12 ranking in the Senior Classical Category at the YAGP Semi-Finals held in Chicago. Andrea is also a comprehensively certified pilates instructor on equipment and mat through the Pilates Method Alliance.
