Our Children’s Program, including First Steps, Creative Movement, Pre-Ballet, Preparatory Ballet, and Ballet Fundamentals, is designed for students ages 2.5-13 yrs who wish to experience the joy of dance. Children will be introduced to foundational concepts in dance and movement, classroom etiquette, and musicality. In each class they will work to develop strength, coordination, and flexibility in a structured yet fun and creative atmosphere that inspires the imagination and instills in each student a love for dance. Upon graduation from TBCDE Children’s Program, students will be properly prepared to move into our Intensive Program where they can continue to build upon the strong foundation laid in our Children’s Program classes.
First Steps
About This Level
First Steps is designed for our youngest students to experience their first steps in the dance studio environment, with the support and participation of their parent/ guardian. No experience or special attire is required for the parent/ guardian.

Creative Movement 3
About This Level
Creative Movement (CM) classes are designed to help our youngest students build confidence, musicality, coordination, small and gross motor skills, listening skills and spatial awareness. These skills will help children prepare for ballet, jazz, tap and any other dance styles as they mature. While teachers prepare structured lesson plans, these classes engage and delight children through a dynamic classroom atmosphere focusing on fun, creativity and imagination.

Pre-Ballet/Tap (5/6 yrs)
About This Level
Pre-Ballet & Tap classes build off the foundation set in Creative Movement and will begin to introduce children to classical ballet terminology & vocabulary, basic positions of the feet and port de bras (arms) and continue to work on building strength, flexibility, and confidence. Students will also benefit from receiving foundational instruction in Tap or Jazz styles which helps children continue to develop their coordination, musicality, and artistic creativity.

About This Level
Preparatory Ballet 2B classes are designed for students age 7 yrs old who are ready to take their training up a step, by attending class twice a week, and adding in two additional dance forms (Tap and Jazz). Students who successfully complete Prep Ballet 2B are ready to move directly into the Intensive Program Level 1, bypassing Ballet Fundamentals.

Ballet Fundamentals is a continuation of our Preparatory Ballet classes, designed to further lay the foundation for our students to enter our Intensive Program Level 1. Students will continue working on refining their placement, focus, building strength, flexibility, musicality, and creativity.

The Hardesty Opportunity Fund is available for classes being held at the Broken Arrow Campus, and is available for all ages and all skill levels.
Frequently Asked Questions
WHAT IS YOUR WITHDRAW AND REFUND POLICY?
For students who need to withdraw from classes, withdrawal forms can be obtained at the front desk and returned to one of the CDE Administrative Assistants. All forms must be returned 30 days prior to student withdrawal. Parents/guardians will be responsible for all tuition payments due up to one month after the written notice. Tuition is non-refundable except in the case of serious illness or injury as verified by a doctor’s certificate or in the relocation of a family. Refunds will not be given for inclement weather or unforeseen events.
