Hyonjun Rhee

Hyonjun Rhee was born in Korea. He studied at the Sun Hwa Arts School and the Seoul and Korea National University of Arts. He was awarded “Danseur Nobre” in 2009 by the Korean Dance Association. Hyonjun joined Universal Ballet in 2007, and has performed leading roles in Onegin (John Cranko), Romeo & Juliet (Sir Kenneth MacMillan), The Nutcracker, Giselle, Sleeping Beauty, La Bayadère, Don Quixote, Shim Chung, The Love of Chunhyang (Brian Yoo), Petite Mort and Sechs Tänze (Jiří Kylián), Black Cake (Hans van Manen), In the Middle, Somewhat Elevated (William Forsythe), Minus 7 (Ohad Naharin), Variations Serieuses (Christopher Wheeldon), This is Your Life (Yong-Soon Hue), Lady of the Camellias (Val Caniparoli), Classical Symphony (Yuri Possokhov), The Four Temperaments (George Balanchine), Axis Mundi (Nicolo Fonte), The Fullest Recreation (Matthew Neenan), Juxtaposed (Ma Cong), among many other roles.
