Originally from West Virginia, Christy Martin began her ballet training at Kat and Company Dance Studio under Katreena Snyder and Wendy Virtue and then went on to attend Ballet Academy of Pittsburgh and Walnut Hill School for the Arts in Boston. She has spent summers studying with the School of American Ballet, Chautauqua Festival, Miami City Ballet, and American Ballet Theatre receiving their National Training Scholarship. Christy continued her training with Texas Ballet Theater under full scholarship and performed professional roles with the company in Ben Stevenson's Giselle and The Nutcracker. In 2012, she joined Tulsa Ballet II and her repertory includes Ben Stevenson's Dracula, Marcello Angelini’s The Nutcracker, Val Caniparoli’s Lady of the Camellias, George Balanchine's The Four Temperaments, and Match Point by Tulsa Ballet’s Resident Choreographer, Ma Cong. This is Christy's second season with Tulsa Ballet II.
