About TBII
Tulsa Ballet II is the official Pre-Professional Ensemble of Tulsa Ballet Theatre. TBII was designed to provide a bridge between the student phase of an aspiring classical ballet dancer and the professional career.  TBII dancers receive a monthly stipend to help offset living expenses.

Through a national audition search, the most talented and committed young men and women have been invited to Tulsa to refine their artistic and technical skills by working with the upper levels of our school and the professional company.  Tulsa Ballet II is a paid training program that offers its members performance opportunities throughout the year, including Journey through Dance, the Center for Dance Education’s year end performances, as well as the possibility to perform with Tulsa Ballet at the discretion of the Artistic Director.  In recent years, Journey through Dance has included repertoire such as excerpts from Ma Cong’s Folia and Carmina Burana, Val Caniparoli’s Prawn Watching and Going for Baroque, Balanchine’s 4 Temperaments and Pas de Quatre,  and Artistic Director Marcello Angelini’s La Sylphide, Les Sylphides, and Swan Lake, as well as La Bayadere, Sleeping Beauty, Flower Festival, Dying Swan and many more.

Auditions
Dancers who are interested in TBII need to submit an audition DVD along with the TBII Audition Request Form to be considered for an in-person audition class at Tulsa Ballet. You may also attend the audition class at any of the locations for the Pointe to the Future audition tour. Those wanting to audition during the Pointe to the Future tour can find the audition locations, dates, and times on the ballet school tab of our website and will need to bring with you a completed TBII Audition Request Form, headshot and DVD (with classwork and classical/contemporary variations). All video links and DVD’s should be clearly labeled and emailed or postmarked no later than April 1st. Please send to:
