hope for the holidays

Each year as the air chills, excitement for the impending holiday season grows. Many prepare their shopping lists for family dinners, holiday treats, and children’s gifts, and loved ones attend The Nutcracker, an annual tradition for many families. But sadly for others, there will be no family dinners or gifts, and holiday cheer can be hard to come by.

To help spread the spirit of the season, Tulsa Ballet treats more than 2,400 local social service clients and non-profit agencies with its annual Hope for the Holidays at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center where dancers grace the stage for the season's first performance of The Nutcracker, dedicated to sharing holiday cheer to this special audience.

Popular holiday characters such as The Nutcracker and Frosty the Snowman are also in attendance, greeting audience members and welcoming them to a memorable ballet evening. Live music provided by the Tulsa Symphony Orchestra completes the night!
