Cavan Conley began his training with Festival Ballet Providence in Rhode Island and continued at the Nutmeg Conservatory, where he was awarded the Brian Tippen Award in 2008. He also studied on a full scholarship at The Harid Conservatory in Boca Raton, Florida, receiving the Rudolf Nureyev Fellowship Award and the Jennot B. Cerron Award for excellence in performance during his time there. In 2012, he joined Tulsa Ballet II and was promoted to Corps de Ballet one year later. Cavan then rose quickly through the ranks, being promoted to Demi-Soloist in 2015 and Soloist in 2016. Cavan’s repertoire includes numerous leading roles such as Romeo in Romeo and Juliet (Liang), D’Artagnan in The Three Musketeers (Prokovsky), Lucentio in The Taming of the Shrew (Cranko), Bluebird in The Sleeping Beauty (Angelini), and Rooster Man in Rooster (Bruce), among others. He has also performed at the prestigious Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival.
